Plain barley silk used for the main curtains with an embroidered border inserted into the main fabric to add interest. A final detail to finish off was to insert a further piping in lilac on either side of the border so as to provide an enhancing framework.

For a more elaborate window treatment we chose the allover embroidered silk from the same collection and again teamed it with the barley and lilac silk. This time we overlaid swags and tails with decorative rosettes onto a flat padded pelmet and used the border on the actual lead edge of the curtains.

Both tassel tiebacks were specifically made to match the fabrics with the silk threads being dyed to exactly the right shades. The first used crystal as a detail on the top of the tieback whilst the second, using the same basic tassel, created a different look by adding 5 strings of small crystals to the skirt.
